If you are a contract worker you may have faced some challenges in achieving the mortgage you require. Some lenders are unable to consider contract income at all, opting instead to assess your income using self-employed documentation or company accounts. You will typically need 3 months remaining on an existing contract or have a new contract to move onto to qualify.
If you are a CIS worker and you are not responsible for paying your own income tax, it should be possible for your income to be assessed using your monthly payslips. In this respect, your affordability for the new mortgage will be calculated in the same manner as if you were employed.
